Three things I’m not a fan of: being really cold, waking up before the sun is up, and large crowds of pushy people. AKA: Black Friday. So I don’t do it. Never have and never plan to. I prefer to do my holiday shopping online. In my pajamas, by myself. With online shops now doing Black Friday deals, and with Cyber Monday in the game, there’s really no need for me to do everything I dislike just to score a good deal.
This year I complied three different online shops that I think would be a great place to find gifts this Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or really any day! These are diverse enough that you should be able to find something that would work for any of your lady friends (sorry guys, these aren’t exactly directed at you, although I do have this one for you from last year!) Enjoy! First off, we have the lovely Nine Space. Nine Space is an “online home textile and home decor company”. They have some great throws, pillows, kitchen items, bedding and even some classy (so not cheesy) holiday items. I’m a huge fan of soft blankets, so I decided to highlight the Brushed Organic Cotton Throw. I’m also a fan of affordable items that can dress up a room, and this adorable woven hand towel would totally do that for a kitchen or bathroom.
For your work-out buddy there’s an awesome new clothing line called Fabletics created by Kate Hudson. They have a ton of great items on there, including a quiz you can take to see what kind of clothes would work for you and your favorite way to workout. I like this sweatshirt because I get cold easily. I could see throwing this on before a yoga sesh- and I could still wear it looking cute while running errands after the gym!
Jessica Alba runs The Honest Co. which is all about safe and natural products for families. As I get older and more of my friends are having kids, I find myself looking for cute kid-friendly gifts for the little ones. How cute are these bear hats and these hand-carved giraffes? The fact that you can give them to kids knowing that they are completely safe using / wearing them is icing on the cake. They also offer free product trials, and all you have to do is pay for shipping! Pretty sweet.
Where ever you decide to do your shopping this year, I hope you have an awesome Thanksgiving. Remember how good you have it, eat lots of turkey and pie. And sleep a lot please. You deserve it.
Also, here’s a recap of the shops and items above:
OH MY GOLLY you guys (yes I just said golly). I just spent way too much time browsing this beautiful shop– Bodie and Fou. I’m sure many of you are already familiar with this little gem- but this was the first time I had actually spent time looking through the gorgeous items they have for sale. First off, the shop is created by the lovely french interior stylist Karine Candice. Not only does it have pretty much anything and everything you need for a beautiful home- but they also have bags, accessories, and craft supplies. I’m in the middle of sprucing up my office space and was just immersed in all they have to offer. THEN I got going on the blog. It’s full of carefully curated photos of interiors, decorating tips, even DIY projects. It’s the perfect inspiration source for interiors.
Although most of their items are out of my price range, I can still dream, right?? I’m just hoping to gain a ton of inspiration and ideas from this site and others for my newly decorated space. Do you know of any other good sites to browse awesome interiors? Particularly office space? If so, I’d love to hear them!
Here are the links to a few of the items that stood out to me as awesome office accents:
Happy Thursday friends- it’s almost weekend time!…
I always have the hardest time finding good gifts for my husband. There’s tons of things I would personally love to get him. But the truth is, Nolan won’t ever wear that cute bow tie I bought off of Etsy. Over the years I’ve found that the gifts my husband loves the most are the ones that create an experience. Whether it’s flying lessons, tickets to a concert, or sentimental gifts like a jar filled with written memories we had together, it never fails. Experience = emotional connection = happy hubs! Experience oriented gifts also show that you care- that you didn’t just pick something up while you were out shopping at H&M and happened to swing by the guy’s section. So here are a couple ideas you can use and modify for your man this V-Day. (I know it’s still Jan, but I always need to get a head start on these things, because I’ll blink and it’s here- just wait, it will happen to you too) 1 // Travel Zoo. Sign up and get addicted. I love searching for cheap mini-getaways, even if I know we’re not planning any trips- it’s still fun to see what the possibilities are. It’s always fun to see what’s available in your local area. You can do a simple night away, or explore the dining areas you’ve never been to. Check out what deals appeal to you and make a date out of it! Make sure that it’s something that he will enjoy and not just you!
2 // Fort Date Night In. Surprise your man when he gets home with a fort made out of bed sheets and string lights. It may seem silly, but it will really make you feel like a kid again. Make his favorite meal and rent a redbox to watch on your laptop while in the fort. Cuddle up for a fun night in!
3 // Salami, Wine and Cheese Picnic. This site has tons of classy foods photographed beautifully. Grab a blanket, bottle of wine, some fancy salami, and cheese, and head out for a picnic in the park. You can relax together and watch the clouds go by. Spend some time talking, tell him why you love and appreciate him! He’ll love that you put time aside to spend with him.
I hope some of these spark some ideas for how you can create a great Valentine’s Day gift for the man in your life. (If there are any guys out there, just switch it up for the woman in your life. She’ll love it.) Feel free to leave any other gift ideas you have in the comments. Happy Monday friends!…
Don’t you love finding those websites where you could picture yourself owning anything and everything they have??
This is that site for me. So, I haaad to make a gift guide out of it. Specifically for the coffee lover in your life. It’s kind of my..”These are the things I would love because I’m a coffee lover” gift guide. And although wool blankets aren’t necessarily coffee related per se, they are so necessary for cuddling up with your mug. I mean, it’s not winter without some mug holding and blanket snuggling. Am I right??
Here’s the links to each of them, enjoy!
Happy Monday friends! Today we have another gift guide for you, this one for the fella in your life, (did one for the ladies last week!) all with the intention of giving back this Christmas. We spend so much money during this season, might as well think about where it’s going, supporting causes who are making the world a better place.
Hope this helps you a bit in your holiday preperation! Here are the links to all of the products above and the companies selling them. Happy shopping!
I know we’re still in November, but now is the time to be shopping for those gifts!! Last year I made a mistake and waited untill the last minute to get Christmas presents. It resulted in too many hours spent in the mall, waiting in line, and fighting for parking spots. (Don’t get between a Christmas shopper and her parking spot!) I vowed to get things done earlier this year! We spend a lot of money on Christmas, and the spending is predicted to be on the rise this year. With this in mind, don’t you think it’s important to think about where we are spending our money and who it’s going to? It’s something that’s been on my mind lately. That’s why I’ve created this gift guide for the ladies in your life, with each item being from a company that is doing great things in the world. You can know your money will be used to help further a great cause. Enjoy!!
Gosh, how cute are these little items from this shop? I would love to hold a coffee mug with a wool covering around it! Love! Also, those spoons would make stirring your coffee a whole magical experience, don’t you think?

I’ve loved this brand for a while now and just rediscovered how awesome they are while browsing the web last night. Here’s what they’re about, directly from their site: LOVE NAIL TREE IS A COMPANY MOTIVATED AND FUELED BY A DESIRE TO PROVOKE CONVERSATION ABOUT TOPICS NEGLECTED AND OFTEN IGNORED BY OUR CULTURE. WE BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF STORY AND THINK THERE ARE MANY THAT NEED TO BE TOLD. WHETHER IT BE THE TRAFFICKING OF HELPLESS CHILDREN, THE DEVASTATION OF ADDICTION, OR THE HIGH RATE OF DIVORCE IN AMERICA. OUR HOPE IS THAT THE STORIES WE TELL WOULD MOVE PEOPLE TO ACTION AND INSPIRE A DEEP CHANGE WITHIN THEM. It’s so refreshing to see people doing what they do for the sake of others. It is inspiring. It dosen’t hurt that I could see myself wearing everything they sell- in fact I would like to do that. So today I’m inspired in more ways than one by this brand.
Find these items here and check out the rest of Love Nail Tree’s site while you’re there.
Happy Leap Day!…
