Crafty Illustrations on Dribbble

I did these illustrations for a client a while back and posted them on Dribbble. I went through Dribbble for the first time in awhile today and was reminded of how awesome it is. I’m really bad at remembering to post work while I’m designing. But it’s a great resource for designers.

It’s a great place to gather inspiration as well as get feedback from other designers on work in progress. I’ve yet to utilize it to it’s full potential, but it’s something I plan to do more of this year. If anyone wants an invite to join I have a few to give out. Put a link to your portfolio in the comments and I can check it out!

Happy Thursday friends!

  1. I adore these!
With the redesign of my site I’ve decided to focus a lot more on illustration because it brings me so much joy. My drawing tablet and I have become the bestest of friends of late; I’ll be sharing lots of fun stuff with you soon, thanks for always sharing your lovely work. :)

And I would like an invite I have an account but need to be invited in order to start posting. Thanks love!

  3. Hi Joanna, I came across your blog through Stacee Lianna and love seeing what you post :) I probably browse dribbble almost every day and have been dying to contribute. Here’s a link to my rookiedraftt account http://www.rookiedraftt.com/Jennyknb – my dribbble account is also under the same screen name :)

  4. Hiii.

Actually i’m dying to know how did you do these?
with tablet and photoshop or illustrtor?
or which programs are u using?
I’m am a arhitecture student and i would love to make some kind of concepts or graphic illustration like this.
i relly love it, so clean and nice!

    love, Nika

    • Hey Nika! I used Illustrator for these illustrations. I do use a tablet for everything I design. Illustration or not :) For the texture I created a bitmap from a textured photo in Photoshop then brought it into AI. When you do that you can change the color of the bitmap in Illustrator. It’s pretty awesome. Thanks for the kind words!!

  5. I would love to post sreenshots if someone would stumble across my page and invite me =) http://dribbble.com/uhkneeluh

  6. Omg. I would love an invite. Here’s my portfolio: http://www.cargocollective.com/korywoodard. In all honesty, some of my best work has been what I’ve done in the last few weeks and I won’t be able to upload those pieces for a little bit. Hope you can consider me regardless!

  7. Those illustrations are amazing! Dribble is so great for designers. Between that and Hunie, I’m glad we have a place where we can critique each other and find great inspiration. These illustrations are speaking to my love of office supplies so much!

  8. Love these designs Jo – particularly the colours and the soft texture you’ve used throughout to give it that extra design boost, well done! You’ve further inspired me to go and do even more Illustrator exploring! x

  9. Hey there! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you if that
would be ok. I’m undoubtedly enjoying your blog and look forward to new posts.
